Has Your Diagnose Helped you?

They said the diagnosis would help. They said it would make things make sense. They said it would open the door to support, to healing, to hope.
But here’s what really happened —They gave me the label, some medication, and walked away.
They stopped asking what hurt. They stopped wondering why I felt broken. They stopped seeing my story and only saw the f*cking diagnosis.
Every tear I cried? Symptom. Every time I froze or lashed out? Symptom. Every time I asked for help in a way they didn’t like? Noncompliant. Every win I fought for? Surprising for someone like you.
They said the diagnosis would bring compassion. Instead, it brought judgment. Distance. Silence.
It almost broke me. Because I wanted to be understood — not boxed in. I wanted to be helped — not dismissed. I wanted to be set free. Not confined by assumptions.
So I’ll ask you, as someone who’s lived this too —Has your diagnosis helped you? Or did it make you forget who you REALLY are?
